Manager of International Membership Services/European Chapter Liaison

The primary role of the manager is to strengthen the visibility and strategic positioning of the Association globally and in particular his/her key assignment is to provide additional support and customer service to the European chapter board and chapter Director of Communications.

1. Work with the ACC staff, ACC Europe chapter Director of Communications and ACC UK consultant to increase membership awareness of ACC, brand awareness, and contribute to the success of the ACC Europe Annual Conference and the chapter offerings and networking opportunities in Europe.  Ensure that all parties are aware of activities related to ACC Europe chapter.
2. Support the ACC Europe chapter’s Director of Communications by serving as central staff person to respond to chapter questions related to ACC services and offerings to members; to provide updates and follow up with appropriate ACC staff in the areas of marketing, public relations/media, social media, membership statistics, sponsorships, chapter web site and financial issues.
3. Work closely with the Legal Resources Department and Legal Strategies Division to support the needs of ACC Europe chapter members for legal resources and advocacy. 
4. To ensure that European member feedback is appropriately delivered to ACC, work with the ACC Europe Director of Communications and the chapter board to provide data and feedback on topics and issues of greatest interest for ACC staff seeking to develop legal resources, advocacy initiatives, media opportunities, and other new products.  
5. Report monthly on the progress in the above areas to the Vice President and Chapter president.   Provide regular reports to the European chapter Director of Communications, and the ACC Europe Board as needed.   
6. Provide other duties as requested by Vice President.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree.

Work Experience:

Minimum 8 years experience in the areas of global communications, development of programs, member resources and /or marketing, preferably in a professional association with autonomous chapters.

Skills:

Excellent writing ability and strong oral communications skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills and cross-cultural skills with the ability to get along with culturally different constituencies and personalities, including members, chapter officers, staff and contacts at external organizations.

Experience working with European constituency.  Fluency in English and two additional languages such as German, Spanish or French.  Prior experience living and working in Europe preferred.

Excellent organization skills.  Ability to handle multiple activities necessary.
